Domed Sculptures

I love presenting work that lives under a dome. The bases are made from pieces of wood that I have found or my brother has given to me. I then measure the diameters of the dome to route a suitable inlay for the dome,

it is quite a learning curve when using unseasoned wood, as it expands / contracts and has cracked many domes.

Dull Bits

domes are glass and fragile, and can break if dropped, they are NOT safety glass.
Avoid placing in direct sunlight as there is a chance that the light may become focused creating a fire risk.
Nothing I make is a toy and will have small parts that may become detached.
