About Me

I am James, the lead looney behind JPFW Art and Creations. I am the proud father of two beautiful daughters and the honoured husband to a wonderful wife.
I never took to art at school, preferring a path more towards technology and science, however in later life after a 20 year career in IT, life took some turns and I found myself needing to create; to take my mind away from depression and later severe pain from sciatica.

I found by disassembling electronic items I could often find faces, who seemed to be to want to say hello to the world. I don’t use glue, everything I create it joined with mechanical or physical connections.

Themes in my work: love, sadness, happiness, loss, loneliness, friendship

Things I have used in my creations: copper, brass, wire, pcb, bulbs, resistors, connectors, contacts, switches, heaters, wood, glass, valves, heaters, drills, radios, cameras, mobile phones, hard drives, you name it.

Influences: Klee, Kandinsky, Haring, Miro to name but a few.
